The OSS does not charge for membership and has achieved much of it's activity in the outdoor swimming movement through the generosity of individuals and companies who have contributed their time, energy, ideas, talents and occasionally money.
We would like to say thank you to all the friends, benefactors. partners, associations & societies, clubs, festivals, and overseas friends alike, who share our passion for outdoor swimming and want to tell the world about it.
In 2016, particular thanks goes to:
A free crowd sourced map of the world's wild swims. www.wildswim.com.
Without doubt the most generous of benefactors we have seen in some years, the team at Storm ID are behind the project to rebuild the OSS website and wildswim map for our 10th year anniversary in 2016. We look forward to the new website with great anticipation. Thank you Storm ID! www.stormID.com.
The OSS manifesto is to spread the word about outdoor swimming... and our success in doing between 2006-2015 means that we now receive so many media enquiries that we haven't been able to catch up with them. So hurray for swimmer Will Cairns at Bottle PR who has taken the OSS on as a pro bono client for 2016 and beyond. Please contact him for all media queries.
We have long been fans of Alpkit's outdoor gear, and in 2015 were delighted to gain their support for the Dart10k, Swoosh and society at large, in a supportive partnership that saw all swimmers at our events walk home with an Alpkit drybag. Partnership plans for 2016 to be announced soon. www.alpkit.com.
