SOUTH LONDON SWIMMING CLUB

THE BLUE MILE
The Blue Mile - Race for the Environment is the UK's newest mass-participation, open water event designed to engage people actively with our blue environment and to encourage steps to look after it.

Based in London, is a swim technique and coaching concept brought to you by the brother and sister team of Dan and Keeley Bullock. BRITISH GAS GREAT SWIM
The largest series of mass swims in the country: one mile races in four natural lakes around the country, led off by Olympic athletes and elites. The Great North Swim attracted 6000 swimmers in 2009. www.greatswim.org
THE WALES SWIM

PORT ELIOT FESTIVAL
Possibly the best festival in the land: Port Eliot is a Cornish literary festival with a rock and roll edge. And the Outdoor Swimming Society delivering river swimming. In 2009 swimmers swam down the Lynher in a journey, in 2010 almost 500 swimmers took to the water in a temporary river lido that came and went with the tide.
U.S. Open Water Swimming Connection is a nonprofit organization. It's goal is to promote open water swimming in the U.S.A and inform swimmers about events, technique, training methods and share experiences and information between swimmers. Visit them at http://usopenwaterswimming.org
