From the beach at Bigbury you can swim - given good weather and the right point of the tide - right around Burgh Island. 

It will take about an hour and is only possible at slack tide.  The sea is cold so you ought to wear a wetsuit on this rather long swim, but you will have the fun of exploring the rocky coastline and watching walkers on the cliffs above.
