“As if you were on fire from within. The moon lives in the lining of your skin.”
A full moon occurs every 29.5 days and is when the Moon is completely illuminated by the Sun’s rays. It occurs when Earth is directly aligned between the Sun and the Moon.
We have created a full moon calendar so that you can plan upcoming moonlight swims. Remember: just because there is a full moon, doesn’t necessarily mean you will see it. Check for cloud coverage on the night and always attempt to go out with a swim buddy. For more on the beauty and practicalities of night swimming, see Moon Gazey Madness.
